They charge a $95 diagnostic fee. Fair enough, I don't expect anyone to work for free. Usually most companies will apply the diagnostic fee towards the repair. Not Protocol. Ok I can agree with this even though I do not like it. Called about an Issue, tech came out and diagnosed the issue and I agreed to the recommended corrections. A few days later the same issue occurs and they want another diagnostic fee to come out again. This is not my first rodeo. Every reputable company I have ever dealt with in the past will always stand behind their work and not charge for follow up calls regarding the same issues. If you like to just throw money at a problem without question, this could be the company for you.

4 months after my review the company responded that I must've called another company. That they do not know who I am… Here's a clue, I am the person that won the credit card dispute. Maybe I did call some other company, maybe,,,if you put another company's number on an invoice with your PROTOCOOL name and phone number on it. Maybe I called another company with the same name and same number that had the exact same person answer the phone. Seriously, you must be used to ripping off stupid people. I used their service before and the fee to check out my problem was applied towards the fix that time, but this time they didn’t mention that they changed this common policy and charged me extra. Will not be using them again

My AC was working fine but the compressor outside was making an unusual noise. Turns out it was just vibration caused by some loose screws. He charged us $260 to tighten a few screws without first notifying us because of course I would have paid the $135 assessment fee and tightened them myself. I wouldn't trust this company to do any serious work on my AC. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of.
