About Mainline Plumbing, AC & Electric Repair

Mainline Plumbing, AC & Electric Repair is a multi-trade service provider offering AC repair and HVAC solutions in the Fort Lauderdale area. The company handles air conditioning work alongside plumbing and electrical services, giving residential and commercial customers a single point of contact for several essential home systems.

Fort Lauderdale's subtropical climate puts heavy demands on cooling equipment year-round. High humidity, salt air, and sustained summer temperatures can accelerate wear on condensers, evaporator coils, and ductwork. Having a provider that operates across plumbing, electrical, and AC disciplines can simplify diagnostics when issues overlap – for example, when a condensate drain problem involves both HVAC and plumbing expertise, or when an AC unit needs a dedicated circuit evaluated by a licensed electrician.

Mainline Plumbing, AC & Electric Repair is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which reflects the reality that cooling failures and plumbing emergencies in South Florida rarely happen on a convenient schedule. Around-the-clock availability means homeowners can request service during evenings, weekends, and holidays without waiting for regular business hours.

The company's Google Business listing describes the team as prompt, reliable, and professional, with a focus on both repairs and new installations. Customers in Fort Lauderdale, as well as surrounding Broward County communities, can reach the company at (954) 417-0701 to schedule service or request emergency assistance.

Whether the need is a routine AC tune-up before peak summer heat, an urgent repair during a weekend cold-front shutdown, or a full system replacement, Mainline Plumbing, AC & Electric Repair positions itself as a versatile option for South Florida property owners looking for multi-trade convenience.

Most critical

We had a very disappointing experience with this company due to misleading verbal pricing and inconsistent billing.

We hired them for a leak detection and repair. We were verbally told that the total repair cost was $5,120.79, and that the leak detection fee would be fully credited toward the repair, leaving a balance that would be split into two equal 50% payments. Based on their word, we proceeded.

The first payment matched what we were told.
The second and final payment did not, it was $826.70 higher than the agreed-upon amount.

When we questioned this, the company later reframed the numbers and claimed part of the charge was a “courtesy credit,” when in reality it was simply half of the original leak detection fee being deducted, not the full credit that was promised. The math did not align with what was explained to us before the work was done.

Unfortunately, no written estimate or clear pricing breakdown was provided by the company, and we trusted their verbal explanation, which we now regret. They said one thing and charged another.

When we escalated the issue, they ultimately refused to correct the overcharge.

Lesson learned: do not rely on verbal estimates from this company. Get everything in writing, because what you’re told upfront may not be what you’re billed in the end.

Detail of my experience:

1) I requested service on 01/06/24 to check the water heater that wasn’t working. Schedule for review 01/08/24 between 8:00-12:00. I paid $89 in advance for the visit and diagnostic.
2) They called me on 01/08/24 almost at 11:00 am and informed me that the technician would not come in the morning. New schedule between 2:00-4:00 pm. The technician didn’t arrive at this time and the tenants waited him all day.
3) The technician arrived around 5:00 pm and called me at 5:32 pm. He informed me the diagnosis and that he could get the water heater working. Additional payment $187.38 (total $ 276.38).
4) The technician called me at 6:27 pm and informed me that there was an electrical problem that he couldn’t fix, recommending that I hire an electrician. So, was his initial diagnosis that he reported me at 5:32 pm wrong?

There were non-compliance with the schedules throughout the day, the tenants waiting for the technician until 5:00 pm and according his initially reported diagnosis, he could put the water heater into operation, which didn’t happen.

While the technician's demeanor was positive, my overall experience was riddled with disappointments. After calling for tankless water heater service on Thursday, the promised overnight delivery for the necessary part didn't materialize. On Friday, I had to follow up and was informed about a delay, but I was assured of Saturday service. Saturday brought another setback as the tech notified me of system issues, postponing the part's arrival to Monday or Tuesday.

Anticipating Tuesday service (Monday was New Year’s Day), I made repeated calls only to be told that the technician would arrive between 2-4 pm. The actual repair was swift, providing hot water within minutes. However, the shock came when I was handed a $711 bill for a part initially quoted at $452 (which my husband also heard). Despite my proficiency with numbers, the tech insisted it was what I signed for, highlighting my oversight in not obtaining a written estimate. A series of disappointments with some major lessons learned.
