I chose this company because of their outstanding online reviews, but unfortunately my experience was the opposite.
During the initial visit, the technician added refrigerant and replaced a capacitor. I was then told my compressor had failed and was given a quote of nearly $2,000 for a compressor replacement. They also mentioned performing a leak test, but that test was never completed.
Before authorizing such an expensive repair, I decided to get a second opinion. The second HVAC company performed a more thorough diagnosis and found that my compressor was working properly. The actual issue was a leaking evaporator coil, which explained why the system was low on refrigerant. After addressing that issue, my air conditioner has been cooling normally.
I have paid for the diagnostic service because they did spend time at my home, but I cannot recommend this company. A diagnosis of a failed compressor is a major conclusion, and in my case it appears to have been incorrect. If I had accepted their recommendation without seeking a second opinion, I could have spent thousands of dollars on an unnecessary compressor replacement.
I would encourage anyone facing a costly HVAC repair to always get a second opinion before moving forward.
