I paid $780 to have my air conditioner cleaned, and now my house smells like a cheap motel.

From the very beginning, the experience was unprofessional. I called the company, spoke with the owner, and he told me he would send a technician. He never asked for my information or explained anything about the visit.

A very young technician arrived at my house. He immediately started taking apart my A/C system without seeming to know exactly what he was doing. Throughout the entire job, he left the outside water running for hours. I asked him several times to turn it off because he kept going in and out of the house every 15, 20 minutes, but he ignored my requests.

Without asking for permission, he opened doors throughout my property while connecting his equipment. He also grabbed one of my cleaning rags to wipe my floors and then rinsed it in the bathroom sink where my family brushes our teeth. He didn’t even bring his own cleaning towels. I found that extremely disrespectful and unsanitary.

After almost three hours, he said he was finished. The inside of the unit still didn’t look clean. I asked him to reopen it because I couldn’t believe that was the final result. His response was basically, “That’s as clean as it’s going to get.”

Then he said he was going to “sanitize” the system. Instead, he sprayed what smelled like a cheap air freshener throughout my A/C. My son has severe allergies, and I have asthma. The last thing we need is artificial perfume blowing through our home. My entire house now smells like a discount Dollar Store fragrance or a cheap motel.

When it was time to pay, the situation became even more uncomfortable. The owner and the technician acted as if I wasn’t going to pay. The technician wouldn’t leave my house, and they started repeatedly calling me. If they needed my payment information, they should have collected it before starting the work, not after spending hours inside my home.

To make matters worse, after claiming over and over that he was the expert, he left the A/C filter dirty and then started asking me whether the filter was reusable because my unit uses a non-standard size. How is the customer supposed to know more than the technician?

After I finally got him to leave because I had another meeting, the owner and the technician called me 32 times, and the technician remained outside my house as if I were a criminal. The owner even wanted to take my credit card information over the phone instead of using a proper payment system. Eventually he sent me a payment link, and I paid immediately.

When I complained to the owner about everything that had happened, his only response was that his company has “five-star reviews.” Unfortunately, five-star reviews don’t change what happened in my home.

This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. It was overpriced, unprofessional, invasive, and disrespectful. I paid $780 for an A/C cleaning, my filter was still dirty, and my house now smells like a cheap motel covered in artificial perfume. I would never use this company again.

Who ever answer the calls in the morning of that company is rude and unprofessional.
