Abraham AC & Heating Services is an Oakland Park-based heat pump and heating company serving the Fort Lauderdale area with 24-hour availability.

About Abraham AC & Heating Services

Abraham AC & Heating Services is a heat pump and heating company based in Oakland Park, serving the greater Fort Lauderdale area. The company provides climate control solutions for homes and businesses that face South Florida's demanding weather conditions year-round.

With temperatures regularly climbing into the 90s during summer and humidity levels that can make indoor spaces uncomfortable without proper ventilation, reliable heating and cooling equipment is a necessity rather than a luxury in Broward County. Abraham AC & Heating Services addresses that need through heat pump installation, maintenance, and repair – systems that handle both cooling and heating from a single unit, making them a practical fit for the region's mild winters and intense summers.

Heat pumps are particularly well-suited to the Fort Lauderdale climate because they transfer heat rather than generate it, offering energy-efficient performance in areas where temperatures rarely drop below freezing. For property owners looking to manage utility costs while keeping indoor air comfortable, heat pump systems represent a sensible long-term investment.

Abraham AC & Heating Services operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing around-the-clock availability for emergency situations. AC failures in South Florida's heat can escalate quickly from an inconvenience to a health concern, especially for elderly residents or households with young children. Having access to service at any hour offers peace of mind during the hottest stretches of the year.

The company can be reached at (954) 433-6504 for service inquiries, scheduling, or emergency calls across the Fort Lauderdale metro area.

Annual AC maintenance was performed by Abraham AC, texhnician Gael Garcia. Gael Garcia did an ecellent job performing the annual service. I requested he clean the fan blower and he was happy to do it, also included an Elite-UV light that helps keep the air cleaner. Thank you Gael

Best AC company we’ve ever dealt with. Fair, honest, reliable and professional. Guys were great and got the job done without incident. They cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the junk. They’re on time and if they’re running late, you get the courtesy of a text or phone call. Don’t hesitate.. hire these guys.

Most critical

LOW INTEGRITY: They are using AI Generated replies to Google Reviews. No Human contact at all. 3 Weeks.

UPDATE (June 17, 2026): Since posting this review, I received a public response from the President, George McPherson, acknowledging the "unacceptable" billing error and promising to make it right. However, despite this public statement, no one from Abraham AC has reached out to me. This response appears to be a performative attempt to salvage their reputation rather than a genuine effort to resolve a documented case of deceptive billing.I am still waiting for an honest billing review. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for their HVAC needs. Lowering to 1 star.

BUYER BEWARE.

I am writing this to share my recent experience with Abraham AC…

I'd ordinarily give a 1 star for what happened to me yesterday however I'm giving 2 stars considering a possible miscommunication on part of Abraham AC.

I worked with this company in the past, and it did build up a measureable amount of trust, so I and decided to give them a first call when I needed a minor part replacement on my outdoor A/C unit. They disclosed a $99 diagnostic fee for showing up. OK. Tech arrived and in under 10 minutes brings the bad part (capacitor) to me and says he found the problem. Thinking $99 is a bit high for 10 minutes of work; I tell myself; "Hey, a deal is a deal."

Tech started talking about 3 different opptions to replace a part for $15-$50. All over $500 and one even over $1000. I declined all "offers"… Again… Tech interjects a maintenance plan and revisits talk about a "kick start kit," ….which I again decline, and politely asked for a simple replacement of my $50 (high) capacitor specifically stating: "No Kick Start Kits and no maintenance agreements." Tech returns in 10 Minutes.. "Problem Fixed" and generates a "verbal bill" of $564. Asked for an invoice and tech politely explains his system will generate and email an invoice to me.

I live in FL, my A/C was already off for hours, and I'm not lieing, I'd likely pay $1000 to get out of the Oven. So I paid in cash on the spot anticipating an invoice. Upon receipt of the invoice I see the "Kick Start Kit" being billed… rather than a simple part replacement. When I learned the part can be bought for as little as $15 I decided to write this post.

I hope this review encourages the company to address their transparency and billing integrity.

I had a frustrating and disappointing experience with Abraham Air Conditioning & Heating that I think other homeowners should be aware of.
Initially, the quote I received was extremely generic, no model numbers, no real technical specs, just marketing language and a total price (~$12K). I had to explicitly ask for basic details that should have been included from the start (model numbers, efficiency ratings, system type, etc.).
Once they finally provided the specs, it turned out the system being quoted was a Lennox Merit (entry-level, single-stage condenser) paired with a variable-speed air handler. After doing my homework, it was clear this is a lower-tier system being priced like a higher-end setup.
At that price point, I would expect at least a two-stage or fully variable system, especially in South Florida where humidity control is critical.
Another red flag: they refused to provide any itemized breakdown of the quote. I understand fixed pricing, but completely avoiding transparency makes it very difficult to validate what you’re actually paying for.
When I pushed back and pointed out the mismatch between the equipment and the price, communication basically stopped. No attempt to adjust the quote, no alternative options, no explanation, just silence.
That, to me, says everything.
I’m a homeowner who does thorough research before making decisions, and this felt like a situation where the expectation was that I wouldn’t ask questions.
Once I did, the engagement dropped off.
I’d recommend anyone considering them to:
– Ask for full system specs upfront
– Compare equipment tiers carefully
– Get multiple quotes before committing

There may be good experiences out there, but based on mine, I would be cautious.
