Had 2 companies come out to diagnose my hvac problem. both said there was a restriction in the high pressure side, either from the filter drier or the thermal expansion valve. Both companies however wanted much more than the national average to fix it ( $1200 vs $550).
So i called A+ for a quote. Guy says he'll have to come out ad check it out first for $75 bucks. I say fair enough. He comes out and says I dont have a restriction, i just need 4 lbs of freon and he can do it for $350. . ( there is no way to know how much a system low on freon will need until you start adding freon and monitoring pressures). Arrogant, dismissive of my concerns
I decline his offer. The next day, I have a company replace the filter drier and the thermal expansion valve which he showed me prior to the repair that it was not working and why it wasnt working. .
Had I hired A+ to pump 4 lbs of freon into my system, not only would it not have fixed the problem, but would have possibly caused more problems. Unbelievable.r mast, 1 star, via Google
Called them for duct cleaning but not sure how good they really cleaned it. Didn't even look inside the ducts with a camera or go in with the agitator. Just attached a vacuum to the vents.
